Relaxation in group - Autogen Training
Andrássy Universität Budapest
The ELTE Faculty of Education and Psychology Counseling Center organizes a 10 session autogenic training class for AUB students in English or Hungarian language.

Autogenic training is a relaxation technique that's effective for a variety of stress-related conditions. This technique was developed by the German psychiatrist Johannes Heinrich Schultz and first published in 1932. It teaches you to self-produce a feeling of warmth and heaviness throughout your body, thereby experiencing a profound state of physical relaxation, bodily health, and mental peace.

The technique involves the daily practice of sessions that last around 15 minutes. The technique can help alleviate symptoms of stress. During each session, the practitioner will repeat a set of visualizations that induce a state of relaxation. It is a method for influencing one's autonomic nervous system.
